Founded in the spring of 2015, GGPS is the passion project of American-Lebanese artist, Danya Ahmed.

The emigration from her birthplace of the USA to her ancestral homeland of Lebanon had a heavy influence on her artistic aesthetic. She spent two years living in a picturesque village atop the Lebanese mountains; accessible only by foot along ancient cobblestone alleyways. Encircled by a private garden of fruiting clementine and avocado trees, and warmed at night by a wood-burning fireplace, it was a raw and beautiful way of life.

Living among nature, yet unsatisfied with the planters available in the market, she began creating her own planters for her plants. Before long, she realized she was filling a niche gap between designer, artist and landscaper. It was at this time GGPS was born; combining raw and brutal elements, to craft a work of poetry. Rooted in functionality, yet executed through craft and expression.

In 2021, wanting to share her work back home, the artist launched GGPS USA. Working alongside top designers, architects and creatives with the same passion for earthen design and detail, the brand has since continued to grow its outreach across the country as well as globally.
